Tanichthys albonubes var. (golden)
Also known as: Golden White Cloud Mountain Minnow, Gold Cloud Minnow
Origin: East Asia (captive-bred)
The Golden White Cloud is a selectively bred colour morph of Tanichthys albonubes in which the normal silver-blue body colouration is replaced by a warm yellow-gold. The characteristic red fin tips and fine iridescent lateral line are retained, creating a warm golden palette. Identical to the standard White Cloud in all care aspects, it is equally hardy, peaceful, and suitable for unheated aquaria.
Water: 14–22°C, pH 6.0–8.0, wide hardness tolerance — no heater required. Tank: 40 L minimum; planted nano setup or outdoor tub in mild weather. Feeding: Omnivore; small flake, micro-pellets, frozen and live micro-foods. Behaviour: Peaceful active schooler; keep in groups of 8+; mixes well with standard and longfin White Clouds. Compatibility: Ideal for cool-water community; pairs with other Tanichthys, small corydoras, and nano fish.
