Corydoras melanotaenia

Corydoras melanotaenia is one of the more colourful Corydoras species, displaying an iridescent green-gold sheen along its flanks contrasted with a warm orange-yellow underside. It comes from Colombia and Venezuela and is reasonably hardy and undemanding. Its striking colouration and active nature make it a desirable community fish.
Water: 22–27°C, pH 6.0–7.2, soft to medium hardness; adaptable. Tank: 60L+, fine sand substrate, plants and driftwood, moderate flow. Feeding: Sinking wafers, quality pellets, frozen bloodworm, brine shrimp, and daphnia. Behaviour: Active, peaceful schooling bottom dweller; keep in groups of 6+. Compatibility: Excellent community fish with small to medium peaceful species.
