Microdevario kubotai
Origin: Thailand, Myanmar
Microdevario kubotai is a breathtaking micro-rasbora from Thailand and Myanmar, celebrated for its vivid, glowing chartreuse-green to neon-yellow coloration that stands out dramatically against green plants and dark substrates in a planted aquarium. One of the smallest members of the danionid family, it thrives in large groups of 10 or more in a calm, well-planted tank with gentle flow. Its extraordinary color and schooling behavior make it one of the most visually spectacular nano fish available in the hobby.
Best kept in a well-planted nano or species aquarium (minimum 30 L) in groups of at least 10–15 individuals. Maintain soft to moderately hard, clean water (pH 6.0–7.5, GH 2–12) at 22–26°C. Feed fine micro-foods: micro-pellets, Artemia nauplii, Daphnia, and very finely crushed quality flake. Gentle filtration with minimal flow allows natural schooling behavior. Avoid large, boisterous tankmates that will stress this tiny species.
