Gresens' Killifish

Fundulopanchax gresensi is a large and spectacular non-annual killifish from the forest streams of Cameroon, rarely encountered in trade and prized among specialist killifish keepers. Males display an impressive mosaic of blue-green and red patterning across the body and fins, with elongated fin extensions adding to their dramatic appearance. It requires experienced management and a dedicated species setup.

Water: 22–26 °C, pH 6.0–7.5, soft and slightly acidic. Tank: 40 L species tank; dense planting; spawning mops; secure lid. Feeding: Live and frozen invertebrates; quality pellets accepted with conditioning. Behaviour: Males highly territorial; one male per tank strictly. Compatibility: Species tank only.
