Corydoras habrosus
Also known as: Dainty Cory, Habrosus Corydoras, Salt and Pepper Pygmy Cory
Origin: Venezuela, Colombia
Often called the Dainty Cory, C. habrosus is a delightful small catfish distinguished from other pygmy corys by its fine stippled spotting and more strictly benthic lifestyle. It is a prolific feeder and very active during the day. Groups of six or more engage in constant foraging activity, making them very entertaining to observe.
Water: 23–27 °C, pH 6.0–7.5, soft to moderate (GH 4–12). Tank: 30 L minimum; sandy substrate, some hiding spots with plants or leaves. Feeding: Sinking micro pellets, micro worms, baby brine shrimp, crushed flake. Behaviour: Active benthic schooler; keep 6+ for natural group foraging behaviour. Compatibility: Excellent with all peaceful nano community fish; shrimp-safe.
