About
Halichoeres melanurus, the Tail Spot Wrasse or Melanurus Wrasse, is a brilliantly coloured orange-red and blue-green wrasse with a distinctive dark tail spot. Excellent pest controller — eats flatworms, Pyramidellid snails and small bristle worms. Hardy and reef-safe.
Care Guide
Sand substrate for sleeping. Temperature 24–27°C. Feed Mysis, pellets, Artemia. Active day swimmer. Reef safe — may eat ornamental micro-invertebrates. Excellent wrasse for pest control.
