About

A Japanese-standard Ranchu selected for superior body conformation: deep arch in the back, perfectly shaped and symmetrical tail tucks with no gaps, a well-developed and even wen growth, and a smooth dorsal curve free of lumps or deformities. Imported from quality Japanese breeders who have refined the Ranchu breed to these exacting standards over centuries, and certified for show eligibility. A true collector piece representing the absolute pinnacle of fancy goldfish breeding.

Care Guide

House in a spacious aquarium or vat (minimum 150 L) with very clean, well-oxygenated water. Maintain temperature 10–22°C, pH 7.0–8.0, moderately hard water. Feed a varied diet of quality sinking pellets, gel food, frozen Artemia, and Daphnia; avoid floating foods that may cause gas ingestion. Perform regular water changes (30–40% twice weekly) to maintain the pristine conditions premium Ranchu require. House with other fancy goldfish only — avoid common goldfish.
