About
Hypsophrys nicaraguensis, the Nicaraguan Cichlid, is a uniquely coloured cichlid with a striking split colouration — blue-gold front and red-orange rear on females. Bold, active and forms strong breeding pairs. One of the more underrated Central American cichlids.

200 L+ tank. Temperature 24–28°C, pH 7.0–8.0, GH 10–20. Feed cichlid pellets and meaty frozen foods. Semi-aggressive — compatible with similar sized Central Americans.
