About

Corydoras cervinus exhibits a pattern that closely resembles that of other Corydoras species in its range, a fascinating example of Müllerian or Batesian mimicry within the genus. It is a medium-sized, adaptable species from Bolivia and Peru. Its subtle patterning and calm nature make it a pleasant addition to South American community aquariums.

Care Guide

Water: 22–26°C, pH 6.0–7.2, soft to medium hardness. Tank: 60L+, fine sand substrate, moderate flow, plenty of open sandy areas for foraging. Feeding: Sinking pellets and wafers, frozen bloodworm, daphnia, and brine shrimp. Behaviour: Peaceful schooling bottom dweller; keep in groups of 6+ for natural behaviour. Compatibility: Good with small to medium peaceful community fish.
