About

Ladigesia roloffi is a diminutive and brightly coloured tetra from the forest streams of Sierra Leone and Guinea. Males are particularly attractive with vivid red-orange tail colouration and spotted dorsal fin markings. It is an ideal nano aquarium fish for a West African biotope, thriving in soft, slightly acidic, well-planted conditions.

Care Guide

Water: 23–27°C, pH 5.5–7.0, soft water recommended (GH 1–8). Tank: Minimum 40L; heavily planted nano with gentle flow and leaf litter. Feeding: Micro pellets, crushed flake, live or frozen baby brine shrimp, and micro worms. Behaviour: Peaceful and active nano schooler; males spar harmlessly with fin displays. Compatibility: Excellent with Neolebias, Lepidarchus, small killifish, and nano invertebrates.
