Centropyge joculator
Origin: Cocos-Keeling Islands, Christmas Island
The Joculator Angelfish (Centropyge joculator) is a stunning dwarf angel endemic to the Cocos-Keeling Islands and Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean. Its brilliant orange body with a vivid blue-edged dorsal fin and blue facial markings makes it one of the most visually spectacular Centropyge species. Export restrictions and limited range make it extremely rare and highly prized among collectors.
Requires a well-established reef or FOWLR system of at least 200 L with abundant live rock for grazing and cover. Feed a varied diet of high-quality frozen mysis, spirulina, nori, and angel-specific preparations. Keep as the only dwarf angel. May occasionally nip at soft corals.
