Apistogramma juruensis is found along the Jurua River, which straddles the Peru-Brazil border deep in western Amazonia. Males develop a classic lyre-shaped caudal fin and display vivid orange-yellow body coloration with contrasting dark lateral markings. Behaviour: territorial during breeding; harem setup (1M:2-3F) recommended. Compatibility: peaceful community tank with small tetras and Corydoras.
