Apistogramma sp. Kelleri is an undescribed form collected from a remote Peruvian locality and named after its collector. Males display distinctive lateral blotching and impressively elongated anterior dorsal spines during display. Appropriate soft, slightly acidic water and good cover will bring out its best coloration.
Water: 24-29°C, pH 5.0-6.8, soft (GH 2-8). Tank: 60L minimum, sand substrate, caves, plants and driftwood. Feeding: omnivore — live/frozen foods; micro-pellets and quality flake. Behaviour: territorial during breeding; harem (1M:2-3F) recommended. Compatibility: peaceful community with small tetras and Corydoras.
