Centropyge tibicen
Origin: Indo-Pacific
The Keyhole Pygmy Angelfish (Centropyge tibicen) features a predominantly black body with a distinctive white oval spot on its flank and a yellow tail, giving it a bold, elegant appearance. It is one of the hardier pygmy angels and adapts well to aquarium life with proper conditioning. Best maintained with abundant live rock and a diet rich in algae and meaty foods.
Provide at least 150 L with abundant live rock for grazing and retreating. Feed spirulina, nori, mysis, and angel-specific preparations. Keep as the only dwarf angel. May nip at coral polyps and clam mantles. A reliable and durable dwarf angel suitable for intermediate and advanced aquarists.
