Sinularia notanda
Origin: Indo-Pacific
Knobby Sinularia (Sinularia notanda) forms compact, knobby colonies with short stubby branches densely packed with retractable polyps in cream to pale gold tones. It is a hardy, fast-growing soft coral that tolerates a broad range of lighting intensities, making it versatile for placement anywhere in the aquarium. Moderate allelopathic output is manageable with regular water changes and activated carbon.
Position in moderate water flow with low to medium lighting. Tolerates a wide range of light intensities but grows faster under brighter conditions. Run activated carbon to manage chemical competition with neighbouring corals. Propagates easily by cutting branches and securing to rock with glue or thread.
