Pangio kuhlii

Origin: Southeast Asia
Pangio kuhlii is a sinuous and slender loach that weaves through substrate, plant roots and narrow crevices in search of food. Despite its secretive nature, groups become progressively bolder over time, especially when provided with hiding places that allow them to feel secure. An effective grazer of leftover food and micro-organisms from the substrate surface.
Water: 24-30°C, pH 5.5-7.0, soft and slightly acidic preferred. Tank: Minimum 60 L, very fine sand, leaf litter, dense planting, narrow tubes. Feeding: Sinking micro-pellets, daphnia, micro-worms, frozen bloodworm. Behaviour: Secretive by day; most active at dawn, dusk and night. Compatibility: Fully peaceful; safe with all community fish and shrimp.
