About
L081 is an impressive Orinoco loricariid featuring a dark grey-brown body scattered with white spots and a tall, eye-catching dorsal fin. It is omnivorous and grows to a substantial size, requiring a large, well-filtered aquarium with ample hiding spaces. Like most Venezuelan plecos, it prefers warm, slightly acidic to neutral, and oxygen-rich water.

Water: 26–30°C, pH 6.0–7.5, soft to moderate; strong filtration and flow. Tank: Large caves and driftwood; rocky hardscape; minimum 200L. Feeding: Omnivore; algae wafers, meaty foods, Repashy, and blanched vegetables. Behaviour: Nocturnal; peaceful but holds its own with robust tankmates. Compatibility: Suitable for large South American community tanks.
