Leptoancistrus canensis

Leptoancistrus canensis (L204) is a slender, torpedo-shaped loricariid from Venezuelan Andean rivers. Its pale body is marked with dark horizontal dashes that give it a streaked appearance well suited to camouflage in swift, rocky streams. It is an omnivore that adapts well to captivity when provided with suitable flow and clean water.
Water: 24–28°C, pH 6.5–7.5, moderate hardness; steady flow recommended. Tank: Rocky substrate with caves; driftwood; minimum 80L. Feeding: Omnivore; sinking pellets, algae wafers, and occasional frozen foods. Behaviour: Nocturnal; peaceful and unobtrusive; appreciates open swimming areas. Compatibility: Compatible with most peaceful community fish.
