Hypancistrus sp. L260 is a highly sought-after loricariid from the Rio Tapajós drainage in Brazil, celebrated for its extraordinarily detailed white arabesque pattern on a rich dark body. Each individual's pattern is unique, making specimens highly collectible. It shares the Hypancistrus requirements of warm, soft, well-oxygenated water and a carnivore-leaning diet.
Water: 26–30°C, pH 6.0–7.5, soft; strong flow and high DO essential. Tank: Multiple small caves; driftwood; minimum 80L for a breeding pair. Feeding: Carnivore-leaning omnivore; bloodworms, brine shrimp, Repashy Carnivore, sinking pellets. Behaviour: Nocturnal cave dweller; males guard egg clutches; peaceful with other fish. Compatibility: Excellent community pleco; keep with peaceful small-to-medium South American species.
