Centropyge flavissimus
Origin: Central Pacific, Indo-Pacific
Centropyge flavissimus, the Lemonpeel Angelfish, is a uniformly vivid yellow dwarf angelfish with a distinctive electric blue ring around each eye and blue-edged fins. It inhabits coral-rich shallow reefs in the Central Pacific. One of the more reef-risky Centropyge species — known to nip at LPS and SPS corals more readily than others. Best kept in systems where LPS polyps are not the primary focus, or with careful supervision. A captivating display fish for its vivid colouration.
Provide algae-rich rockwork. Feed spirulina, marine flake, mysis. Monitor for LPS nipping — more likely to sample corals than Coral Beauty or Flame Angel. One Centropyge per tank. Standard reef parameters.
