Anampses lennardi
Origin: Northwestern Australia
Lennard's Wrasse (Anampses lennardi) is a strikingly beautiful and exceptionally rare species endemic to northwestern Australia. Males exhibit a dazzling pattern of electric blue spots and lines on a dark body, while females display a contrasting red-orange colouration with white spots. Extremely difficult to find in the trade due to its limited range and challenging collection.
Requires a large, mature aquarium of at least 500 L with a deep sand bed for sleeping and diving. Feed a varied diet of frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp, and chopped shellfish. Sensitive during acclimation; ensure pristine water quality. Provide secure lid as wrasses are prone to jumping. Not reef-safe with small invertebrates.
