Chromis lineata
Origin: Indo-Pacific, Maldives to Tuamoto Islands
The Lined Chromis (Chromis lineata) is a subtly beautiful species from the Indo-Pacific with thin blue-white lines running along the scale rows of an otherwise greyish body. Typically found over outer reef slopes in loose aggregations, it brings a refined, understated beauty to larger reef aquariums when kept in a small school.
Keep in groups of 5 or more in a reef aquarium of at least 100 L with open swimming space. Feed quality marine flake, frozen mysis, and copepods. Peaceful with all other reef inhabitants. Provide moderate to strong water movement to replicate its natural outer reef habitat.
