Ptereleotris grammica
Origin: Western Pacific
Ptereleotris grammica (Lined Dartfish) is a slender, torpedo-shaped dartfish with delicate longitudinal stripes of pale blue and yellow running the full length of its body. A schooling species in the wild, it shows its best behaviour when kept in small groups in the aquarium. A secure lid is essential as dartfish are notorious jumpers.
House in groups of 3–6 in a reef or FOWLR aquarium of at least 115 L with a tight-fitting lid. Feed frozen mysis, copepods, and high-quality marine pellets multiple times daily. Provide burrows or rockwork for shelter. Peaceful with all other reef inhabitants. Will become more active and visible when kept in groups.
