Paracheilinus lineopunctatus
Origin: Indian Ocean, Andaman Sea
Paracheilinus lineopunctatus is a lesser-known flasher wrasse from the Indian Ocean with a distinctive row of blue spots along its lateral line complementing its orange-red body. Males produce elaborate tail and dorsal extensions during flashing displays that rival any in the genus. Reef-safe and mixes well with other peaceful wrasse species.
House in a reef aquarium of at least 150 L with a tight-fitting lid. Feed enriched frozen mysis, cyclops, and high-quality marine pellets multiple times daily. Peaceful with all other reef fish. Males display vibrant fin extensions repeatedly throughout the day when comfortable. Best kept with one male.
