Ancistrus sp. (longfin albino form)
Also known as: Longfin Albino Bristlenose Pleco, Longfin Albino Ancistrus
Origin: Captive-bred (origin: South America)
The Longfin Albino Bristlenose Pleco combines the albino colour morph with extended longfin genetics to produce a uniquely eye-catching fish. Its pale cream body, pink eyes, and flowing fins make it stand out in any aquarium. Care requirements are identical to other Bristlenose forms — it is hardy, easy to breed, and a capable algae grazer.
Water: 23–28°C, pH 6.0–7.5, adaptable; avoid extremes. Tank: Smooth driftwood and caves; no sharp decor; minimum 80L. Feeding: Herbivore; algae wafers, spirulina, blanched zucchini and cucumber. Behaviour: Peaceful and nocturnal; males develop bristles and cave-guard egg clutches. Compatibility: Perfect community pleco; avoid fin nippers to protect the flowing fins.
