Corydoras aeneus (longfin var.)
Also known as: Longfin Bronze Cory, Longfin Green Cory
Origin: South America
The Longfin Bronze Cory is a captive-bred variant of the ubiquitous Bronze Cory, featuring elegantly extended dorsal, caudal, and pectoral fins. It retains the excellent hardiness and adaptability of the standard form while adding visual appeal. It accepts a wide range of water conditions and thrives in most community aquariums.
Water: 22–28°C, pH 6.0–7.5, soft to medium hardness; highly adaptable. Tank: 60L+, fine sand or smooth gravel substrate, open swimming areas alongside plants. Feeding: Sinking wafers, algae tabs, frozen bloodworm, and bottom-feeder pellets. Behaviour: Active schooling bottom dweller; keep in groups of 6+ for natural behaviour. Compatibility: Excellent community fish; avoid nippy species that may target long fins.
