About
Sciaenochromis fryeri, the Electric Blue Ahli or Electric Blue Hap, is one of the most vibrant of all Malawi haplochromines. Males display a uniform, brilliant solid electric blue body. A large, moderately aggressive predatory Hap that requires a spacious aquarium with other Malawi cichlids of similar size. Single males are most striking.
Care Guide
Keep with other Malawi Haplochromines or Peacocks in at least 200 L. Hard, alkaline water essential. Feed quality cichlid pellets and frozen meaty foods. Keep only one male per tank or in very large tanks. Aggressive to conspecifics and similar-looking species. Mouthbrooder — female holds fry.
