Amphiprion nigripes
Origin: Maldives, Sri Lanka
Amphiprion nigripes (Maldives Black Clownfish) is a rare and highly sought-after species endemic to the Maldives and Sri Lanka. Its sleek black body is offset by a single bold white head bar and contrasting orange-yellow face, creating a dramatic and minimalist colour scheme prized by advanced reef keepers.
House in a reef aquarium of at least 75 L with a host anemone (Heteractis magnifica preferred) or as a bonded pair. Feed a varied diet of frozen mysis, marine pellets, and enriched brine shrimp. Peaceful with most reef inhabitants but aggressive toward other clownfish species. A stunning centrepiece for a dedicated anemone tank.
