About
The Marigold Swordtail is a captive-bred strain displaying a warm orange-yellow body reminiscent of the marigold flower, accented by the characteristic elongated lower caudal sword. Hardy and adaptable, it thrives in community tanks with neutral to alkaline water and open swimming space. A classic and crowd-pleasing livebearer for hobbyists of all levels.
Care Guide
Keep in mixed-sex groups in an aquarium of at least 100 L with neutral to alkaline water. More females than males recommended to reduce male harassment. Feed quality flake, micro-pellets, and occasional frozen foods. Provide open swimming areas and some floating plant cover for fry. Easy to breed.
