Cirrhilabrus marjorie
Origin: Fiji, Pacific Islands
Marjorie's Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus marjorie) is a newly described and rare species from Fiji and the surrounding Pacific Islands, noted for the spectacular transformation males undergo during courtship. Its brilliant red and orange colouration contrasted with white and blue accents makes it visually stunning. Scarcity and recent description keep collector demand persistently high.
House in a reef aquarium of at least 180 L with a tight-fitting lid. Feed enriched frozen mysis, cyclops, and quality marine pellets multiple times daily. Peaceful with other reef species; best kept as the only male of its species. Provide open swimming space and ensure pristine water quality.
