Origin: Colombia (Meta River)
Corydoras metae (Meta Cory / Bandit Cory) hails from the Meta River in Colombia and is recognized by its clean white body marked with a black mask across the eyes and a curved black dorsal stripe extending to the tail. Peaceful and active, it looks stunning in groups against a dark substrate. A robust species that adapts well to most community aquarium conditions.
Keep in groups of at least 6 on fine sand or smooth substrate. Feed sinking pellets, frozen bloodworm, and blanched vegetables. Perform regular water changes to maintain quality. Very adaptable and compatible with most tropical community fish. Provides excellent bottom-level activity and interest.
