Poecilia mexicana
Origin: Mexico, Central America
Poecilia mexicana, the Short-Finned Molly or Mexican Molly, is the wild ancestor of the common domestic molly. Less commonly kept than the domestic variety, it shows more natural behavioural traits. It adapts to fresh, brackish, and even marine water. A great choice for species tanks or biotope setups. Pack of 6.
Very adaptable — tolerates hard, alkaline, or slightly brackish water. At least 60 L. Feed flake, algae wafer, and blanched vegetables. Peaceful community fish. Like domestic mollies, they appreciate some aquarium salt in the water. Easy to breed.
