Microdevario nana
Also known as: Dwarf Microdevario, Nana Micro Rasbora
Origin: Thailand, Myanmar
Microdevario nana is among the tiniest cyprinids described to science, reaching only 1.5 cm at maturity. It inhabits clear, cool, slow-moving streams in Myanmar and Thailand. Due to its extremely small size, it is best kept in a species-only tank or with only the most peaceful micro companions.
Water: 20–26 °C, pH 6.0–7.5, soft to moderate (GH 3–10). Tank: 15 L minimum; species tank strongly recommended; fine plants, gentle flow. Feeding: Rotifers, baby brine shrimp nauplii, micro pellets, infusoria. Behaviour: Peaceful micro schooler; keep 10+ for natural group confidence. Compatibility: Nano shrimp only; no other fish companions recommended.
