Centropyge nox
Origin: Indo-Pacific
The Midnight Angelfish (Centropyge nox) is an all-black dwarf angel with a sleek, velvety appearance that makes it an eye-catching contrast fish in a colourful reef aquarium. Despite its dark colouration, it is a lively and active grazer that does well in established systems. Supplement its diet with spirulina, nori, and frozen preparations.
Provide at least 110 L with abundant live rock for grazing and hiding. Feed spirulina, nori, frozen mysis, and angel-specific preparations. Keep as the only dwarf angel. Generally less reef-destructive than some Centropyge but may occasionally nip at coral polyps. An unusual and striking dwarf angel.
