Corydoras mimicus
Also known as: Mimic Cory
Origin: South America
Corydoras mimicus is aptly named for its striking resemblance to Corydoras arcuatus, both species sharing a bold black stripe arcing from snout to caudal fin. The two species are often found together in the wild, a textbook example of Müllerian mimicry. Corydoras mimicus can be distinguished by minor morphological differences and locality data.
