Moon Wrasse (Thalassoma lunare)

The Moon Wrasse is one of the most vibrantly colored wrasses commonly available in the marine hobby, displaying a striking green body adorned with pink and blue facial markings and a distinctive lunate (crescent) tail. A robust and highly active swimmer, it adapts readily to aquarium life and patrols the mid-water column with energy. Best kept with similarly sized, robust tank mates as it can be assertive toward smaller, passive fish.

Provide a large aquarium with extensive open swimming space and rock formations. Ensure a tight-fitting lid as Moon Wrasses are escape artists. Feed a protein-rich diet of frozen mysis, krill, and chopped seafood. Introduce early in the tank's stocking process to minimize aggression.
