Neolamprologus multifasciatus is often cited as the world's smallest cichlid species. This fascinating Tanganyika shell dweller lives entirely in and around empty snail shells, forming cooperative colonies.
pH 7.8–8.5, temp 24–26°C, hard alkaline water. Provide 10+ Neothauma/escargot shells per pair. Will breed readily. 10L minimum per breeding pair. Sandy substrate essential.
