Neolamprologus similis
Origin: Lake Tanganyika
Neolamprologus similis is closely related to N. multifasciatus but has a more slender body and finer barred patterning. The two species can be kept and bred in dedicated species tanks in the same way. Like the multi, it forms colonies around shell clusters. The slightly different body proportions and subtler patterning make it a distinct addition for Tanganyika biotope enthusiasts. Highly entertaining and approachable for intermediate cichlid keepers.
Species or Tanganyika community. pH 8.0–8.5. Sand + shells. Group of 6+. Feed: small foods, artemia.
