Pseudochromis aldabraensis
Origin: Persian Gulf / Red Sea
Pseudochromis aldabraensis — the neon dottyback — has striking two-tone colouration: vivid orange posterior and electric blue anterior half. Like the orchid dottyback it is captive-bred, reef-safe, and controls bristle worms. It is one of the bolder dottyback species and can be somewhat aggressive toward small fish. Its dramatic colouration makes it very popular for reef tanks where its colours pop against coral backgrounds.
Light: any. Flow: moderate. Feed: meaty frozen foods. Reef-safe. Aggressive toward other dottybacks. Provides natural bristle worm control.
