Corydoras sodalis is a medium-sized, attractively patterned species from the Amazon basin of Peru and Brazil, its body covered in a fine network of interconnected dark markings. It is sometimes confused with related reticulated species but is distinguishable by its specific pattern characteristics. A hardy, peaceful, and active community species.
Water: 22–26°C, pH 6.0–7.2, soft to medium hardness. Tank: 60L+, fine sand substrate, moderate flow, planted areas with open sandy zones. Feeding: Sinking wafers, quality pellets, frozen bloodworm, daphnia, and brine shrimp. Behaviour: Active, peaceful schooling bottom dweller; keep in groups of 6+. Compatibility: Excellent community fish with most peaceful tropical species.
