New Caledonia Freshwater Crab Bavayia

The New Caledonia Freshwater Crab belonging to Bavayia represents one of the more obscure and geographically isolated freshwater crabs in the trade. In captivity, a waterfall paludarium or high-flow rocky stream aquarium closely replicates their habitat. Water quality must be pristine — these species have no natural exposure to pollution and are sensitive to ammonia, nitrite, and organic waste accumulation.
