Nimbochromis livingstonii, Livingston's Cichlid, is famous for its unique hunting strategy — it lies on its side playing dead to attract small fish that come to investigate, then strikes. Brilliant electric blue when breeding. Large, impressive predator.
300 L+. Temperature 24–28°C, pH 7.8–8.5. Sandy substrate. Feed large cichlid pellets, krill. Predatory — eats smaller fish. Keep with large Malawi fish only. One male.
