Nothobranchius rachovii 'Beira 98'
Origin: Mozambique
Nothobranchius rachovii 'Beira 98' is widely regarded as the most colourful freshwater fish in the world. Brilliant blue and orange bands cover the male's body. Ships as diapause eggs in peat. Hatch by hydrating with soft water.
Incubate eggs in slightly damp peat at 25°C for 6–8 weeks. Flood with 5 cm of soft water to trigger hatching. Feed newly hatched Artemia nauplii immediately. Annual — adults live only 4–6 months.
