Amphiprion omanensis
Origin: Oman, Pakistan, Arabian Sea
Amphiprion omanensis is one of the rarest clownfish in the hobby, endemic to the coasts of Oman and Pakistan in the Arabian Sea. Its brownish-orange body with two white bars resembles related Indian Ocean species, but its highly restricted geographic distribution and extremely limited export availability make it one of the most coveted clownfish for specialist marine collectors. A true collector's species rarely offered outside specialist marine stores.
Provide a well-established reef aquarium with suitable host anemone (Heteractis species preferred) or live rock structures. Feed a varied diet of quality marine frozen foods and enriched preparations. Maintain stable, pristine water parameters. Source captive-bred specimens when possible to support conservation.
