The Orange Discus is a vibrant captive-bred Symphysodon variety displaying a warm, saturated orange body that transforms beautifully under different lighting spectra. Widely stocked in Belgian and Dutch high-end aquarium shops for its accessibility and bold visual impact, it pairs particularly well with blue and turquoise discus varieties for striking color contrast. As with all discus, it requires warm, soft, pristine water and dedicated care.
Care Guide
Maintain warm, soft, pristine water with 50%+ water changes several times per week. Feed a varied diet of discus beef heart mix, quality discus pellets, and frozen bloodworm. Keep in groups of 5 or more. Avoid any cold-water fish as tank mates; discus require temperatures 28–31°C.
