The Orange Laser Cory (CW010) is an undescribed Corydoras species from Peru featuring a brilliant horizontal orange stripe that appears to glow under aquarium lighting. It inhabits soft, acidic blackwater streams and appreciates dim, tannin-stained conditions. Its rarity and striking appearance make it a centrepiece species for any cory collection.
Care Guide
Water: 22–26°C, pH 6.0–7.0, soft; tannin-stained blackwater conditions ideal. Tank: 60L+, fine sand, dim lighting, driftwood and leaf litter, gentle flow. Feeding: Sinking wafers, small live or frozen foods; bloodworm, daphnia, brine shrimp. Behaviour: Peaceful schooling bottom dweller; keep in groups of 6+ for best colouration. Compatibility: Best in a blackwater community with small tetras and dwarf cichlids.
