Paedocypris progenetica holds the record as the world's smallest known vertebrate and fish. Females reach only 7.9mm. A blackwater peat swamp specialist that requires very acidic, tannin-rich conditions.
pH 3.5–5.0, temp 24–28°C, extremely soft blackwater. Use peat filtration, Indian almond leaves, botanicals. Feed infusoria and micro-worms only. Advanced species.
