The Painted Fire Red Shrimp is one of the most intensely colored Neocaridina davidi variants, displaying deep, fully opaque red across its entire body—a high-grade variety selectively bred for complete red coverage with no visible transparency. Popular in Belgian and Dutch shrimp shops as one of the most accessible premium-grade red shrimp, it is as easy to care for and as prolific as standard Red Cherry Shrimp.

Maintain stable, clean freshwater with regular partial water changes. Provide dense planting and hiding spaces for molting shrimp. Feed dedicated shrimp foods, biofilm, and blanched vegetables. Avoid copper medications. Keep with peaceful, shrimp-safe fish or in a species-only invertebrate tank.
