Pangio kuhlii
Origin: Southeast Asia
Pangio kuhlii, the Kuhli Loach, is a slender, eel-like loach with alternating orange and brown/black bands. Burrowing, nocturnal and peaceful. Lives in loose groups in sand substrate. Fascinating to observe when they emerge at dusk. Excellent sand sifter.
Group of 5+. Fine sand substrate for burrowing. Temperature 24–28°C, pH 6.0–7.5. Nocturnal — provide hiding places. Feed sinking pellets and frozen bloodworm at night. Peaceful with all fish.
