Pao palembangensis (formerly Tetraodon palembangensis), the Humpback or Palembang Puffer, is a rare and unusual freshwater puffer with a distinctive arched back profile and beautiful mottled brown pattern. Nocturnal ambush predator. For experienced keepers.
100 L+ species or large fish tank. Temperature 24–28°C, pH 6.5–7.5. Nocturnal — feed at night. Feed snails, shrimp, cockle, mussel. Keep singly or with very robust tank mates. Provide driftwood caves.
